Cut a long line gap about 1/2 the depth.
Soak the entire foam in water for a while, sqeeze out air bubbles, ensure water went in to the gap/line/drain.
Use small spoon to fill in a spponful of seeds.
Fill in water to cover same height of the foams, they will float.
Press down, if the seeds are squeezed in welll they will not drop out, else just use the plastic spoon to scope them and squeeze them back in. So, press then every morning to ensure moisture.
Always ensure the seeds are facing upwards.

Try germinating seeds with styrofoam cube.
They float on the water.
They do not really "suck" water at all.

Take off and there they go!
Place them at the location with a lot of sunlight, and/or use UV grow lights.
Once per week, add nutrients, add water, check pH, check TDS, and check EC.
Ready to harvest one month later.

Put the sponge with the successfully germinated seedlings into the little basket one month later after sprouting, make sure all their roots come out.
Drop them into the hydroponic system.

When the seeds are fresh and healthy, all the seeds will start sprouting the next day. The germination should appear this way in two weeks' time.
These Seeds were Planted 20211203 Tuesday 0500 quiet morning.
Let them stay in the water for at least two to four weeks to allow their roots to grow more sturdy before transferring them to the hydroponic system.

you can either
(1) germinate the seeds directly on the sponge,
germinate 5 times the number of the seeds more than the system required. Humid weather here is not friendly to long keeping seeds. Survival rate is usually 20%, even you buy from the nursery, because Singapore is not agricultural momentum, unless you manage to get very fresh seeds from somewhere else. I only get one time 100% sprouting from the taobao free gift when I bought those pots from them.
(2) germinate the seeds from the wet damp soils. This is a much easier and lazier way if you already get used to messing up with the soils and mud.
